Do you allow pets?

No, we do not allow pets.

Do you provide smoke free rooms?

Yes. Our entire resort is non-smoking. We do allow smoking outside on the grounds.

Do your cabins have kitchens?

We offer a large variety of lodging options. Our three larger, full sized lodges do have fully equipped kitchens. Please refer to our accommodations page for specific room descriptions.

Do you have telephones, televisions and WIFI in your rooms?

No, we do not have telephones or televisions in our rooms. Most of our guests welcome this respite from the outside world. We do have phones and WI-FI in the Main Lodge, Conference Center, Blackfoot Lodge, Cougar Cottage, and Hilltop Lodge. There are two televisions for guests’ use in the Main Lodge.

What is the elevation at the resort?

The elevation in the valley is approximately 4000 feet.

What is the weather like?

No matter what the time of year it is good to be prepared for a variety of weather conditions. Dressing in layers works best. Even in the summer months when it reaches 80 & 90 degree temperatures during the day, it is not unusual for the temperatures to get down into the 40s at night and in the early morning. In the winter months, Seeley Lake is in the “snow belt”, and we tend to get more snow than anyone around us. The highways are in good shape most of the time, and guests rarely have problems reaching the area. Call for specific 5 day forecasts.

Is lunch available?

Seasons Restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch. During golf season, The Snack DAGR Den at the Pro Shop is open daily. Box lunches are available year round.

Are dinner reservations required?

Dinner reservations are highly recommended. At times our dining room does book full, and we like to make sure that our lodge guests have been given the opportunity to make reservations if they wish.

How many guests can you accommodate at full capacity?

We can accommodate between 60 and 80 guests, depending on the number of couples, children, etc.

How many bedrooms do you have?

We have 32 bedrooms.

How many beds?

We have 68 beds. We also have 5 sofa sleepers and 4 roll-aways.

How far is it to the nearest airport?

The Missoula airport is 55 miles. It is a scenic drive and takes about an hour. Glacier International Airport is about 90 miles.

What airlines service Missoula and Glacier?

Delta, United, Horizon and Allegiant Airlines fly into Missoula.

Is there a shuttle service to and from Missoula?

We can refer you to a shuttle service, but it is usually much more cost effective to rent a car. The shuttle service could be advantageous for larger groups.

How far is the closest town?

Seeley Lake, with a population of about 2500, is just 2 miles away. There is a full service supermarket, gas stations, sporting goods store, etc.

Is it necessary to make tee times in advance?

An advantage for lodge guests is being able to make tee times in advance. The front desk can help you with this. There are times when tee times are not available at the last minute.

Is horseback riding available?

Yes! Trail Rides are available at the neighboring Rich Ranch. Rides are available mid-May through September.

What other activities are available in the area?

There is a chain of lakes in the valley providing a variety of water activities including but not limited to; fishing, canoeing, and rafting. Fly-fishing float trips can be arranged. Canoe rentals are available. There are a number of spectacular trails for hiking. Wildlife viewing and bird watching are becoming very popular.

What winter activities are available?

The Seeley-Swan Valley has become a popular destination for snowmobile enthusiasts, with over 300 miles of groomed trails. We can help arrange snowmobile rentals. Cross-country skiing is also available with rentals locally. The Lodge offers horse-drawn sleigh rides seasonally.

Is it possible to make a day trip to Glacier National Park?

It is possible to spend as little or as much time in the park as you wish. If you just have time for a drive across the very scenic Going to the Sun Highway, it is well worth your time. It is approximately a 2-hour drive to the park and I would allow a minimum of 4 hours to cross the pass and back.
