Montana Snowmobiling at its Finest

Winter rides into the Seeley Swan Valley on a blanket of snow. The area often gets 100” of snowfall right in the valley floor. But that doesn’t mean we huddle indoors.
The surrounding area offers over 300 miles of groomed montana snowmobiling trails. From flat rides through silent pine forests to steep hill climbs, the Seeley Swan Valley has enough snowmobile rides for a lifetime of thrills and discovery. The valley is extremely snowmobile friendly, and has become a popular destination for groups and families who like to ride the snow together. Snowmobiling in Montana is spectacular!

The historic Main Lodge is one of the most comfortable snowmobiling lodges in Montana and houses our renowned Seasons Restaurant. After a day of enjoying Montana Snowmobiling , relax by the massive stone fireplace with a drink from our full service Stirrups Lounge. Savor an entrée from our casual fine dining menus from Seasons Restaurant, among the finest in snowmobile lodges.

Check out these local resources for sleds, equipment and rentals: Rocky Mountain Adventure Gear and Seeley Lake Outside.

Our local Snomobile Club the Seeley Lake Driftriders can help with conditions and trail maps.

The Double Arrow Resort offers a wide variety of cozy Montana lodging. The resort offers Montana lodges divided into individual units, with private baths and entrances. Individual log cabins work well for a romantic getaway. Larger, full sized lodges are also available to accommodate Montana group lodging. The Hilltop Lodge is a favorite of our return guests choosing snowmobile lodges. It works equally well for 4 couples or 8 individuals. The Cougar Cottage also ranks high on the list of snowmobiling lodges that our guests return to year after year.

An oldy but goody, snowshoeing has been revamped in the last few years with some amazing equipment to perch you atop deep snow in remote areas. Enjoy the silent calm of a majestic valley without a large investment in time or expense.  Don’t want to bring or rent your own shoes, borrow a set of ours and go explore from your cabin door.

The horse drawn sleigh ride leaves directly from the Main Lodge. Enjoy hot chocolate in the Great Hall of the Main Lodge before or after the ride or enjoy a leisurely drink from the lounge in front of the fireplace. The campfire overlooking the meadow provides the perfect setting to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of a Montana winter.

Antique Cutter Sleigh Ride

Are you looking for a unique treat for someone special?  Consider a romantic ride for two in an antique cutter sleigh.  We’ll send you off with hot rocks to warm your feet, a buffalo robe to keep you cozy, and champagne to toast the once in a lifetime occasion at the base of the scenic Swan Mountain Range.

Seigh rides are scheduled at times that are convenient for guests to also enjoy dinner in Seasons Restaurant, our world re-known fine dining restaurant.

“We made quite a discovery here at the Double Arrow. Peace and solitude combined with delicious food and friendly people. Beautiful scenery using the horse trails provided us with wonderful photographic opportunities of the mountains. Some of the photographs will surely end up framed and displayed in our home.”
